G.C. Stone

G. C. Stone, 91, of Fort Smith, AR. entered into rest on Monday, August 13, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born February 18, 1921 in Kenefic, OK. to the late Grover Cleveland Stone and Leola Stone. He was a member of West-Ark Church of Christ, an Army Veteran and a retired employee of Rainbo Baking Co. He loved camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by the love of his life whom he was married to for 71 years Margaret Stone and his sister Mary Lee Patterson. He is survived by two daughters Sheila Scott and husband Bill of Fort Smith, AR. and Janice Kiepe of Van Buren, AR., two sons Larry Stone of Barling, AR. and Randy Stone of Missouri, one brother Bobby Stone of Collinsville, TX., 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 17, 2012 at West-Ark Church of Christ with interment at The U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. With military honors. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
