Curtis Willard Bolton

Curtis Willard Bolton, 93, of Fort Smith, AR. entered into rest on Monday, July 2, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born January 19, 1919 in Arp. TX. to the late William and Goldie Bolton.He was preceded in death by a son Patrick Coleman. He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth of 53 years, son John Bolton of Fort Smith, AR, four granddaughters, two sisters Janice Icenhower of Texas and Shirley Dorrset of Texas and one brother Claude Wayne Bolton of Texas and several nieces and nephews of Texas. He was a 23 year Veteran of the US Army, served in WWII receiving the Purple Heart Award, Bronze Star and many other awards and honors and landed Omaha Beach D-Day + 1. He was a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church, member of Second Division Association, DAV, VFW, 32degree Mason and retired after 25 years as a brick mason in Dallas, TX. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Haven Heights Baptist Church in Fort Smith, AR. with interment with full military honors at The U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers will be Franklin Taylor, Grady Stone, Scott Wells, Bill Mitchell, Norman Fletcher and Butch Hardgrave. Honorary pallbearers will be the Haven Heights Baptist Church Men’s Bible Class. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Haven Heights Baptist Church Building Fund 7701 Hwy 271 South Fort Smith, AR. 72901.
